MANLY MUSIC TEAM
Bede
Bede is a passionate drum teacher with over 10 years of drumming and musical experience. He teaches students of all ages and skill levels, sharing the joy of music through fun, supportive, and engaging lessons focused on drumming technique, theory, and musicality.
Actively involved in the local music scene, Bede performs with his band ‘Ghazza’ as well as a variety of other Sydney-based bands. With extensive experience in both live performance and studio recording, he has released multiple albums and EPs and performed at venues across Sydney and beyond. Specialising in Rock, Pop, Metal, and Funk, Bede loves helping students learn their favourite songs while building strong technical skills and musical confidence.
Every lesson is tailored to suit each student’s individual goals, interests, and learning style, creating a practical and enjoyable learning experience that encourages confidence, creativity, and a genuine excitement for music.
MARCUS
Marcus is a passionate and friendly music teacher who has loved playing music from a young age. He teaches both drums and guitar, working with students of all ages and experience levels to help them build confidence, technique, and enjoyment in music. Marcus is currently completing a Diploma of Music Performance and has several years of teaching experience, alongside performing with his band for crowds of up to 300 people. Marcus creates engaging and supportive lessons tailored to each student’s individual goals, helping them develop their musical ability and confidence.
Chanel
Chanel is a passionate and dedicated flute teacher. She enjoys creating engaging and supportive lessons that help students build confidence, creativity, and strong musical skills while making learning enjoyable. Chanel has experience teaching kids and adults and tailors each lesson to suit the individual goals and learning style of every student. A highly accomplished musician, Chanel received an A+ High Distinction for her AMEB Certificate of Performance (CMus) in Flute and completed Grade 8 AMEB Piano. Chanel graduated from SCECGS Redlands on a full music scholarship and is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Studies (Dalyell Scholars) at The University of Sydney. Alongside music, Chanel brings a positive and approachable attitude to her teaching, helping students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.
William
William is a friendly and dedicated piano teacher who has been playing piano since the age of seven. He achieved an A+ in AMEB Grade 8 Piano and has strong skills in both performance and music theory. William currently teaches piano students of different ages, creating supportive and engaging lessons that help students build confidence and enjoy learning music. Alongside teaching, he works as an accompanist for the Drummoyne Community Choir, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at Macquarie University. William enjoys tailoring lessons to each student’s goals, helping them build confidence, musical skills, and an enjoyment in music.
Jason
Jason is a passionate piano teacher and musician with a strong background in both jazz and classical piano. He enjoys helping students build confidence, develop strong musical foundations, and discover their own enjoyment of music through engaging and supportive lessons. Jason has experience teaching younger students and is skilled at breaking down complex musical concepts into simple and easy-to-understand steps. Alongside teaching, Jason regularly performs jazz piano at hotels and functions, giving him valuable real-world performance experience and a broad repertoire of jazz standards. He has also performed in jazz ensembles, musicals, and classical piano competitions. With experience in composition across jazz, classical, pop, and concert music, Jason brings a creative and well-rounded approach to his teaching. Jason creates a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the process of learning music.
Mia
Mia is a vibrant and passionate music teacher currently studying a Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Originally from Perth, she loves helping students build confidence, creativity, and performance skills through fun and engaging lessons. With a background in music theatre and experience working with young singers through the Australian Girls Choir, Mia brings lots of energy, encouragement, and creativity into every lesson. Mia enjoys creating a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves, try new things, and grow both musically and personally. Her warm and enthusiastic approach helps students stay motivated while developing strong musical foundations and a genuine enjoyment of performing arts.
Indy
Indy is a friendly and enthusiastic receptionist who loves working with kids and helping families and students feel welcome at Manly Music. Currently studying a Bachelor of Communications in Media Business at the University of Technology Sydney, Indy brings strong communication skills, organisation, and a warm personality to the Manly Music team. With an extensive background in music, she has a genuine passion for the creative arts and enjoys being part of a fun and positive musical environment. She enjoys getting to know students and parents, creating a supportive atmosphere, and making every visit to the studio a great experience.
